After identification, select your service role: personal services, acting on behalf of another person or acting on behalf of a company/an organisation.
Recommission your decommissioned vehicle, motorcycle or other vehicle before taking it on the road again. The commissioning takes effect immediately after the notification.
You can use your vehicle again when:
The commissioning is valid until further notice, but it cannot be done in advance, retrospectively or for a limited period.
If you recommission a vehicle that you have decommissioned, you will have to pay vehicle tax in any case. Even if you only used the vehicle for a short period and then decommissioned it, the vehicle tax is at least EUR 10.

In the list, select the vehicle which you want to commission. Then select Commission vehicle.
You can also later check that the commissioning succeeded on the My Activities page.
The service uses an automated decision-making procedure.

If you cannot perform a decommissioning electronically, you can contact your insurance company or an inspection station that offers registration services.

If a vehicle has been previously registered in Finland and is returning to the Finnish register, Traficom can, at the customer’s request, notify the EEA State or the Åland province where the vehicle has been registered.
