Order a new registration certificate for your car, motorcycle or other vehicle in Traficom’s My e-Services. You need the technical part only abroad or in Åland. The notification part is needed less often.

As the owner of the vehicle, you may order either the entire certificate (Part I and Part II) or only the technical part (Part I).

As the holder of the vehicle, you may order only the technical part (Part I).

When can you order the registration certificate electronically?

  • You are the owner or the holder of the vehicle.
  • You are at least 15 years of age.
  • The owner or holder of the vehicle has a Finnish personal identity code or a valid business ID.

Read more about service-specific restrictions at the end of the page under Additional conditions and restrictions on ordering a registration certificate.

Do the following

1

Order both parts of the registration certificate (Part I and Part II) or only the technical part (Part I)

You may order the entire registration certificate (Part I and Part II) if you are the owner of the vehicle. If you are the holder of the vehicle, you may only order the technical part (part I). If you do not need a registration certificate but only some of the data it contains, you can download or print it in PDF format from the Vehicle information page in My e-Services.

You will need both parts if you sell your vehicle for registration abroad or in Åland. In this case, hand over both parts to the buyer.

You will need the technical part when you travel abroad or to Åland with the vehicle. You do not need it in mainland Finland.
