After authentication, choose “Acting on behalf of a company/organisation” as your user role.
If a vehicle has been registered with both an owner and a holder in the Transport Register, it is the holder who is liable to pay the tax. As the first owner of the vehicle, you can submit an application to have the tax liability transferred to you. This form cannot be used for changing vehicle registration data, e.g. a change of ownership.
Use the electronic service (only companies/organisations) if
- you wish to transfer the tax liability for a vehicle you own from its holder to yourself.
- you wish to terminate an agreement on transferring tax liability.
You can submit an application if you have been authorised to represent your company or have been granted the mandate for “Handling vehicle tax-related matters”.
Follow these steps below
You can apply for the transfer or tax liability under “Vehicles and taxation”.
Select Vehicles and taxation under Drivers and other vehicle users.
In the Tax services section, select Apply for transfer of tax liability
Fill in the application form.
You can apply for an agreement on transferring tax liability or the termination of an agreement on transferring tax liability.
Submit the application
You may print or save the confirmation if necessary. The confirmation is also saved in My Activities.
After processing your application, Traficom will send a written confirmation to the email address or postal address given in the application.
Personal customers and others who cannot use My e-Services can apply for the transfer of tax liability with a paper form.
